Wisconsin Production



Corn production in Wisconsin was predicted at 465 million bushels, a 16 percent gain over 2012.

The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture says yields in Wisconsin were forecast at 143 bushels per acre based on crop conditions surveyed September 1st.

Soybean production was estimated down 5 percent from a year ago, and yields were forecast at 40 bushels per acre, down about 1.5 bushels from 2012.

In Buffalo County, average rent for non-irrigated cropland was $112 per acre, $34.50 per acre for pasture.

Trempealeau County was at $135 per acre average rent for non-irrigated cropland, $48.50 an acre for pasture.
