Republican State Representative Steve Drazkowski gave the Winona County Board of Commissioners an update Tuesday that highlighted the legislative efforts of the past year and some upcoming challenges.
Drazkowski told board members that gun owners can expect another battle over gun control laws in the future but that Republicans and a few rural Democrats will fight any changes.
Drazkowski blamed Governor Dayton for pushing electronic gambling to pay for the Vikings new stadium, which he called a ''house of cards''.
In other business, the board set up the date for a public hearing on proposed changes to the county's zoning ordinance. The hearing will take place Tuesday, October 22nd at 7:00 p.m. during the regular board meeting.
