A fire Tuesday night on the St. Mary's University campus is believed to have been arson related.
Winona Assistant Fire Chief Jim Multhaup said the fire was ignited in a large pile of brush and trees at the end of the University's property.
Multhaup said the university had a burn permit to allow storage of the brush and trees at the site and burn a portion of the materials at one time. He said there was no structure fire.
Multhaup said the large pile was about the size of a football field but the fire was ignited at one end.
Firefighters were called out about 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and remained on the scene for just over one hour.
