Buffalo County Property Values

Rural towns in Buffalo County account for over 65 percent of the county's equalized property value, according to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue.

Buffalo County has 17 towns valued at over $658,000,000, a  1.4 percent gain from a year ago.

Cities were valued at 306-million dollars, up 1.3 percent, and village value went down $840,000 a 2 percent loss.

Annual equalized values of real estate are used in apportioning taxes that town, city and village property owners pay for
schools, technical college and county services..

Buffalo County's new total equalized value was up about $12,000,000 to top 1 billion-dollars.

City of Alma is valued at $54 million, up $380,000

Buffalo City's equalized value dipped 1.2 percent,  to $63,200,000.

Fountain City went up 1.3 percent, a $653,400 gain.
