Winona Police Community Liaison Officer Kevin Kearney has been given a promotion.
Police Chief Paul Bostrack said Kearney has been promoted to Sargent and will begin his new duties on Monday. Kearney has been with the department for 14 years and served in his current role for the past eight years.
He has been very active in the community with programs to educate citizens and establishing new programs.
Kearney will work the three-to-eleven shift and replaces Gary Hoeppner who retired in August.
Bostrack said Kearney's current position will be filled at a later date.
