The Minnesota Department of Transportation is holding a public hearing and open house this week on the environmental assessment document on the Highway 43 bridge project in Winona.
It will be held on Thursday, October 17th, at the Winona Armory from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
The environmental assessment document for the project has been approved and describes the proposed project, impacts and mitigation. It includes documentation on the findings regarding historic properties as well as a draft agreement that outlines the future design review process.
Public comments on the Environmental Assessment document will be accepted at Thursday's meeting and through October 30th.
The public can get updated on the project, including the design, and offer their own comments but no formal presentation will be made.
