Voters in the Arcadia School District go to the polls Tuesday to decide on a 14-million dollar bond referendum to construct a new addition to the high school in Arcadia.
The proposed addition would be 57-thousand square feet in size and house middle school students in grades five through eight.
It's the third new school referendum to be held in the Arcadia district in three years. Referendums held last April, and in November of 2011, were both defeated by 2-to-1 margins.
The latest request is substantially smaller than the previous two referendums.
Polls throughout the school district will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Three candidates are on the ballot for the general election in the City of Rushford.
Mayor Chris Hallum is seeking re-election to another term.
Also seeking re-election are city council members Vern Bunke and Mark Honsey.
All three are running unopposed.
Votes can be cast at the Rushford City Hall between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.....
And Caledonia school district voters will decide on a 495-thousand dollar bond referendum. Approving the one-day bond would allow the district to hold back 495-thousand dollars for buildings and grounds, technology, and curriculum without raising taxes.
The money would be held back from the funds earmarked for the state in a capital loan payback.
