McCoy Named NSIC's Top Defender

Winona State senior soccer player Rebecca McCoy has been named the NSIC’s Defensive Player of the Year while six players earned all-conference honors.  McCoy and the Warrior defense allowed just seven goals in 15 conference matches this season, posting nine shutouts while allowing just 58 shots on goal. The Warriors recorded shutouts in nine of their last 11 conference games, including blanking ranked opponents Southwest Minnesota State and Minnesota State.

Midfielder Morgan LeFebvre joined McCoy on the all-NSIC first team, while goalkeeper Alexandra Vial was a second team selection. Midfielder Alaina Kne and defender Devon Richards were named to the all-conference third team while midfielder Kati Baker was an honorable mention selection.
