The Minnesota Department of Transportation has filed a plat with the Winona County Recorder's Office indicating new properties along Third and Fourth Streets that are considered in the Highway 43 bridge project right-of-way.
The plat indicates there are some nine properties needed by Mn-DOT to make way for the construction of the new bridge.
Included on the plat map are properties between Third and Fourth streets. east of Huff Street, that currently house Dahl Automotive buildings and car lots.
The map indicates that eight properties on the north side of Fourth Street, east of the existing bridge and across from the Winona Family YMCA, are also in the new right-of-way.
Project Manager Terry ward announced earlier that negotiations on the acquisition of needed properties for the new bridge has begun. But Ward declined to name which properties are being sought.
Ward told a Winona Chamber of Commerce audience last week that negotiations with one property owner had begun but declined to name that property also.......
