Winona State Men Upset At Home



Defending NAIA Division II national champion Cardinal Stritch upset 20th ranked Winona State Sunday 90-79. The Wolves shot the lights out in the second half after trailing by five at halftime. Cardinal Stritch shot 64 percent in the second half including 6-10 from the three-point line. Winona State struggled with their shot hitting just 40 percent for the game. The Warriors led by five at the half despite shooting 6-15 from the free throw line.

Winona State finished with four players in double figures and all four are redshirt freshman. Isaiah Gray led the way with 19 points off the bench while Riley Bambenek scored 15, Kyle Bauman scored 14 and Josh Mongan added 10.
Winona State drops to 3-1 and they will return to action on Saturday against Ferris State.
