Cotter Principal

Cotter High School's first-year principal says he would like to see the collaboration with local schools and business and industry improved to benefit students as they prepare for college.

Oscar Uribe told a Winona Radio audience he feels more collaboration with local industries can make education more relevant for his students.

Uribe also said working closely with local industries can better prepare his students for the working world.

Uribe also hopes to see more collaboration between Cotter and the other two local high schools and the local colleges.

In addition to serving as Cotter's new principal, Uribe is continuing his duties as a spanish teacher and high school soccer coach.

He has already implemented some changes in Cotter's class schedule.
