The JCPenny property at Highway 61 and Pelzer Street has been sold.
Documents filed at the Winona County Recorder's Office indicate the property was purchased by the Fastenal Company for $2,450,000 from Pennwinn L-P of New York City.
The documents also indicate Fastenal plans to use the unoccupied original Penny's store for warehouse purposes.
The current Penny's store will continue to lease its space.
Penny's has occupied that location for over 40 years after it relocated from downtown Winona.
