Businessman and former Minnesota House Republican Leader Marty Seifert has announced his statewide campaign for governor of Minnesota.
Seifert says he plans on offering a solutions-based campaign for the people of Minnesota, starting with five major issue areas: taxes and regulation, size of state government, transportation priorities, public safety and sex offender programs, and education reform.
Seifert said in the private sector and throughout our communities, it is clear Minnesota needs new leadership that will rein in runaway taxation and spending in favor of smarter, smaller, more responsive government,
Seifert announced his campaign in his hometown of Marshall. He also sought the Republican endorsement for governor in 2010.
He joins five other announced GOP governor candidates....Scott Honour, Mike McFadden, Kurt Zellers, Robert Farnsworth, and David A. Thompson.....
