The Minnesota Senate Capital Investment Committee will be making a visit to Winona on Tuesday, December 3rd, Committee members will view local projects for which funding will be requested from the 2014 bonding bill.
The visit will be part of the committee's three-day swing through southeastern Minnesota.
The group will get an update on Winona State University's proposed "Education Village." WSU says the project to upgrade three buildings on Lafayette Street is estimated at about 22-million dollars.
They will also visit Minnesota State College--SE Tech and the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. Requests from the City of Winona will also be made for funding for the extension of Louisa Street and for the Riverview Drive improvement project.
The tour also includes stops on December 4th, in Rushford, Lanesboro and Chatfield.
The tour also includes a December 5th tour of Rochester's Mayo Clinic.
