Buffalo County Board of Supervisors

All 14 seats on the Buffalo County Board of Supervisors come up for election in April.

Supervisors elected to two-year terms are divided into 14 districts representing one or more municipalities.

Buffalo County Clerk Roxann Halverson said anyone 18 or older that meets legal requirements is eligible to run for a county board seat.

People can file candidacy and obtain election papers from the county clerk's office in the courthouse at Alma.

Candidates can register to run for office and obtain nomination papers now, but they are not allowed to circulate papers for nomination signatures until December 1.

Halvorson said candidates may file as many as 100 signatures, but they must have at least 20 valid nominating signatures to make the ballot......
