The Winona County Board of Commissioners meets next Tuesday, December 3rd, and will be asked to adopt the county's final 2014 property tax levy.
The preliminary levy reflects about a $35,000 reduction from the 2013 levy making it a zero-percent increase.
Board members will also be asked to approve a final 2014 budget of $43,200,000 which is a 3.5 percent decrease from the 2013 budget.
In addition, the board will be asked to authorize the Southeastern Minnesota Multi-County HRA, based in Wabasha, to levy $100,000 in property taxes in 2014 on Winona County property owners outside the City of Winona.
And...the board will be asked to acknowledge a default on a county Economic Development Authority loan to a county business of $22,245 dollars. The funds were from the EDA's Revolving Loan Fund.
The meeting will be Tuesday, December 3rd, at the County Government Center at 9:00 a.m.
