Cash Drawer Theft

Winona Police are looking for a man who snatched a cash drawer from a McDonald's drive up window and fled on foot.
Police Chief Paul Bostrack said the man walked up to the drive-through at McDonald's downtown restaurant about 10:00 p.m. Monday, managed to reach through the window and grabbed the cash drawer.

Bostrack said the man was last seen fleeing southbound on Main Street.

The drawer had about $245 in cash in it.

Bostrack said the same man had approached the same drive-up window earlier and tried to place an order but he was told he would have to place the order inside.

The man is described as a white male, six-feet or taller. He was wearing a black ski mask, green puffy jacket and a red baseball cap.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call the police department, or Winona Area Crime Stoppers. There you can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward.
