Crash Update



At least three people were injured in a four-vehicle crash on Highway 43 Wednesday near Wilson that forced the closing of the highway for six hours.
  
The Minnesota State Patrol said a mini school bus, driven by Dennis Becker of Winona. was sideswiped by a second vehicle driven by Jeffrey William of Winona. The school bus then crossed the center line striking a third vehicle and then it struck a fourth vehicle.

The Minnesota State patrol said a female passenger on the bus  was identified as Dixie Peshon of Winona who had minor injuries. A 7-year-old boy, identifed as Jeremy Kline was the only child on the bus. He sustained cuts and scrapes.

The driver of one of the other vehicles was taken to Winona Heath to be treated for injuries. Another driver sustained serious injuries.

Chief Deputy Sheriff Ron Ganrude said the crash resulted in both lanes rude  of Highway 43 being blocked and a detour was put in place temporarily.
                
The crash was reported just before 7:00 a.m.

The highway was re-opened to traffic about 1:00 p.m.....
