SE-Tech Grants

Four workforce development grants have officially been awarded to Minnesota State College--Southeast Technical.
The four grants from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development total over $800,000.

A grant for over $323,000 was awarded to Southeast Tech for Cytec Engineering Materials for development of customized technology training for 95 current employees and 65 new hires for the Winona company.

A second grant of $235,000 is for a partnership to develop customized technical training for Northern Engraving of Spring Grove for 227 current and new employees.
Southeast Tech was also awarded $200,000 to provide training for ProAct which has more than 700 employees with facilities in Red Wing, Eagan, Zumbrota, and
Hudson, Wisconsin.

A fourth grant, for nearly $50,000, will go to ORC Industries in Winona to provide specialized training for their 65 employees. Thursday, representatives from Southeast Technical, DEED and Winona ORC participated in a grant-signing ceremony at the Winona ORC facility.
