A southeastern Minnesota high school is in the running to win a Grammy Award.
The Post-Bulletin reports Dover-Eyota High School was recently chosen as one of 123 finalists across the country for the 2014 Grammy Signature Schools award. The award honors public schools that are making an "outstanding commitment to music education."
Dover-Eyota was one of four Minnesota locations selected from a pool of more than 20,000 that were involved when the annual process began in August.
The school is eligible to receive up to 15-thousand dollars in grant funding for it's music department. There are 123 schools listed as finalists and that number will be cut down in March, 2014.
