The Winona High boys’ basketball team got its first win of the season last night beating Rochester Mayo 57-38. The Winhawks knocked down nine three-pointers including five from Blake Watts who finished with 15 points. PJ Appicelli led Winona High with 16 points. The Winhawks are 1-5 on the season and 1-3 in the Big Nine Conference.
Winona High lost to Rochester Mayo 48-35. Audrey Scharmer scored 17 points and Hallee Hoeppner added 12. Winona High drops to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in the Big Nine Conference.
