A Merchants Bank employee has been appointed to the U-S Agriculture's Advisory Committee on Beginning Farmers and Ranchers.
St. Charles banker Tim Gossman is vice president, and business and ag lender at the St. Charles office.

Gossman, who farms near Chatfield, has 32 years experience in agriculture lending and is new to the Merchants Bank team having spent 27 years with the Root River State Bank in Chatfield.

The Advisory Committee provides guidance to the USDA Secretary on expanding opportunities that will help beginning farmers and ranchers.
