Hit and Run

The Sheriffs Department is looking for a Goodview man who they say was the driver of a vehicle that struck a car on Highway 14 in Lewiston at the intersection with County Road 25 Saturday morning.
Chief Deputy Ron Ganrude said the driver of a van that struck the car failed to stop at the scene. The van was located in a Lewiston church parking lot but the suspected 44-year-old driver could not be found.
Two people reported witnessing the crash and seeing the van flee.

The female driver of the car was not seriously injured.
The van's license plate was found at the scene of the crash.

If you have any information that can help locate the driver you are asked to call the Sheriff's Department. You can also call Winona Area Crime Stoppers at 457-6530 where you can remain anonymous and be eligible for a  possible reward.
