Car In The River-Body Search



Winona County Sheriff Dave Brand said the search for a fourth missing person believed to have been inside a vehicle that crashed into the Mississippi River early Sunday resumed Wednesday...day three.
                  
Brand said special underwater sonar equipment from Carver County and its dive-rescue squad returned Wednesday, and a special remote underwater camera operated by a Black River Falls business also returned. The Winona Fire Department was also called in to assist.

Brand said the search has widened further downriver from the accident scene. He said he plans to continue the search through the end of the week if necessary with additional resources if needed.

Monday the body of 28-year-old Blake Overland of Stewartville was pulled from the river about 1:30 p.m.

Brand identified the fourth suspected victim as 29-year-old Andrew Kingsbury of La Crosse.

Riverview Drive and Huff Street remain open for traffic.

A prayer service, attended by some 100 people. including family of the missing man, was also held near the search area Tuesday afternoon.
