Winona County Sheriff Dave Brand said the search of the Mississippi River for a fourth missing person believed to have drowned Sunday when a vehicle went into the river will be resumed Thursday for a fourth day.
Brand said crews were unsuccessful again Wednesday to locate the body of 29-year-old Andrew Kingsbury of La Crosse.
Brand said two cadaver dogs are being brought in to help in the search along with another dive-rescue team from Iowa. He told Winona Radio News Wednesday he intends to keep the search going until at least this weekend when the weather is expected to warm up.
Brand also said rumors Wednesday that Kingsbury's body had been located were not true. He said he received numerous calls Wednesday from people who claimed to have been told the body was located when it was not.
Brand said the search has widened further downriver from the accident scene at the foot of Huff Street.
