Winona Police said several young people were cited early Thursday for being in a downtown bar while under the age of 21.
Sargent Chris Nelson said police conducted a compliance check at M-C's Bar at Second and Johnson Streets and issued citations to 15 people between the ages of 19 and 20.
The 15 included 10 females and 5 males, all from Winona.
One of the males, identified as Jacob Lee Rau, was also cited for giving police a false name and date of birth.
The compliance check was carried out about 12:30 a.m.
A second compliance check was carried out just before midnight Wednesday at the Legendary Tavern located at 129 Johnson where one man was cited with giving a false name and date of birth and underage consumption. He was identified as 20-year-old Joseph Allan Sorensen of Mazeppa.
Neither of the two establishments themselves were cited.....
