Saint Mary's Women Take Over First and Get Into National Rankings

The Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team has moved into sole possession of first place in the MIAC after beating Augsburg Monday night 54-51. The Cardinals held Augsburg to just 33% shooting and got 20 points from Courtney Euerle and 11 from Emma Schaefer. Saint Mary’s is now all alone in first place after Bethel lost to St. Olaf last night.
Saint Mary’s has entered the Division III national rankings for the first time this season. This week the Cardinals have been picked 25th in the national rankings.

The Augsburg men shot 64% from the field and blew out Saint Mary’s 97-60. Will Swiggum had 18 points for Saint Mary’s and Evan Pederson added 14.
