State Patrol-Crashes

The Minnesota State Patrol was kept busy last weekend due to the extreme cold temperatures, high winds, and snow.

Statistics released by the Patrol's District Six office in Rochester indicate troopers handled 511 different incidents Saturday through Monday.

374 calls were for vehicles that went off the road.  Another 54 calls were for non-injury crashes, while 41 others were for injury crashes.

The patrol also handled calls for such things as hit and run crashes, jackknifed semi trucks, and stalled vehicles blocking state highways.

District Six includes 11-southeastern Minnesota counties.
