Wabasha County Commissioner Complaint



A Wabasha County commissioner has filed a complaint against the man the county board recently appointed as interim county administrator.

Commissioner Deb Roshen filed the ethics complaint against Wabasha Assistant County Attorney Michael Plante but would not comment on its details.
               
Plante told the the Post-Bulletin of Rochester he also could not comment on it.

The paper said during a county board meeting it was revealed the county has hired a Twin Cities attorney to represent Plante in the case.

Roschen has filed her complaint with the Minnesota Board of Professional Responsibility.

After some debate the county board agreed to pay the $2,500 retainer fee for the Twin Cities attorney. on a vote of 3-to-1 with Roschen abstaining and Commissioner David Harms voting no.

Plante is expected to take over as interim county administrator on April First and serve until a permanent administrator is hired.
