County Board

The Winona County Board of Commissioners will review the county's Government Data Practices Policy when it meets Tuesday at the Government Center.

The board, during a committee of the board session, will discuss recommended updates and revisions to the policy manual and other policies being  proposed for adoption.

The policies cover the protection and disclosure of data collected by all government entities.

Winona County's data practices policy was first adopted in 2004. The policy governs the fees, if any, that should be charged for public data.

The board will also discuss a recommendation from the county attorney to appoint a responsible authority and data compliance official.

The Tuesday meeting starts at 9:00 a.m. and is open to the public.
