The Winona Port Authority next week will be asked to approve the seeking of bids to complete a portion of a project to remove the old city dock in the commercial harbor along Riverview Drive.
A $320,000 Port Assistance Grant from the state has been budgeted for with the Port authority having to put up the remaining $80,000.
The work would include demolition of the old dock, engineering design work, and stormwater management.
The old dock was replaced by a new one previously.
The Port will seek bids on a portion of the site preparation wort estimated to cost $159,000.
A second phase which would be resurfacing of the site is estimated to cost up to $257,000.
The issue will go before the Port Authority next Thursday, February 13th, at 4:00 p.m. at City Hall.
