The Winona Area Public School Board is expected to narrow the field of six candidates for Superintendent of Schools Wednesday to two or three.
Four different committees, including one representing the school board, will take turns interviewing the six semi-finalists starting at 1:00 p.m at the district office at Winona High.
When those interviews are done the school board will meet to go over the information and narrow the field of candidates who will be invited back for another round of interviews next week.
The search timeline calls for the board to select a final candidate between March 6th and 20th, and ratify an employment contract on April 3rd.
The successful candidate will begin his new duties on July First and will replace Scott Hannon who will be retiring as of June 30th.
The interview candidates are: Stephen Flisk current associate superintendent of the Minneapolis Public Schools...Steve Jordahl, associate superintendent of the Nacel Schools in St. Paul...Paul Nuebauer, the current director of curriculum for the St. Francis Public Schools...Stephen West, the director of education services at the Eden Prairie Schools...Patrick Sweeney, assistant superintendent at the Paradise Valley Public School District...and Ron Wilkey, the current superintendent at the La Crescent-Hokah Public Schools.
