Here's a chance to learn more about Winona's role in the Civil War.
The local Civil War Roundtable will present Winona's history in the Civil War at the Winona County History Center Thursday night and it's open to the public.
Presenter, Pastor Andy Straseski says this is the 150th anniversary of the return of Winona soldiers to ringing church bells after three years participating with the First Minnesota Regiment, Company K.
Straseski says he will outline Winona's and Minnesota's major role in the Battle of Gettysburg.
The event begins at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the County History Center's classroom.
