Teacher of the Year-Hill

A Winona teacher has been selected as one of 33 semifinalists for Minnesota Teacher of the Year for 2014.

Education Minnesota, the teacher's union, has selected Lora Hill as one of the 33.

Hill is a special education instructor in the Winona Area Public Schools for grades nine through 12 and was selected from 128 teachers who were nominated initially.

She is the only teacher to make the list of 33 from this area. Two teachers, one from Kasson-Mantorville and the other from Stewartville, also made the list.

A panel will meet in late March to select 10 finalists who will be invited to the Twin Cities on May 4th where the Minnesota Teacher of the Year will be announced and honored.
