While Minnesota lawmakers are looking at Governor Dayton's proposal to eliminate some one thousand outdated laws on the state's books, one Winona company says a change made last session has helped them.

Richard Anderson of Cytec Industries told a news conference in St. Paul Tuesday, addressing the so-called unsession, that Cytec's experience with applying for a new air quality permit was shortened because of changes made in regulations previously.

Cytec recently purchased another manufacturing company and is planning to bring between 50 and 60 new jobs to the community. It has been required to update its air quality permit in the process.
