Monarch Program

The Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge invites families to a ‘Crazy for Monarchs’ program at the visitor center on Saturday.

The program will begin at 11:00 a.m. The center will be open from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Through pictures, videos, and maps participants will explore the mystery of the monarch butterfly migration and probable causes for the recent dramatic decline in monarch populations.
Families will learn how to help the monarchs on their journey and enjoy a hands-on activity. Activities are suitable for children age five and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
