St. Charles-Main Street Plan
The St. Charles City Council has approved a beautification and transportation plan for the city's main street.
The Rochester Post-Bulliten reports the council this week approved a nearly $14,000 expenditure to add more trees, benches, grass and flowers.
The plan also includes construction of bump out curbs at the street corners providing more room for pedestrians and to slow down traffic.
The city hopes is to get a detailed plan form a consulting form by June with construction to start this summer sometime.
