National Day of Recogntion
Winona Mayor, Mark Peterson, will join more than 650 Mayors around the country in a national day of recognition to highlight the impact of national service in their cities and thank individuals who serve.
The second annual Mayors Day of Recognition for National Service will take place Tuesday, April 1st. Mayor Peterson will recognize local National Service participants at an open house held at the Winona County History Center, Wanek Hall from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.
A short program at 4:00 p.m. will include a proclamation by the Mayor to recognize the impact of national service in Winona and thank Senior Corps volunteers and AmeriCorps members who serve. The event is free and open to the public.
