The Winona County Board of Commissioners will be asked next Tuesday to approve a request for proposals for the replacement of the heating and ventilating system at the County Government Center along with replacing the center's roof.
The present H-V system is worn out and does not meet the needs of the building.
The engineer's estimate for the entire work is $650,000.
The board will also be asked to approve a new three-year contract with the Law Enforcement Labor Services union.
The contract calls for the union members to receive a total salary increase of seven and a-quarter percent across the three years retroactive to January First of 2014 and extending through 2016.
The contract covers deputy sheriffs, investigators, the jail coordinator, shift commanders, detention deputy, dispatchers, and the transport officer.
The meeting is next Tuesday, March 25th at 7:00 p.m. at the Government Center.
