Downtown Ideas Exchange



Here's a chance to submit proposals to improve Winona's downtown area and maybe receive up to a $20,000 grant to help do it.
              
The Downtown Idea Exchange will take place Saturday, April 5th, from 9:00 a.m.to noon at the Winona History Center.

Attendees will get a chance to pitch their ideas in the visioning process being facilitated by the Southern MInnesota Initiative Foundation.

The top projects, determined by a selection committee, will be eligible for a grant of up to $20,000. The presenters will be invited to give a formal presentation to the funding committee on May 15th.
              
The proposals will be voted on by those at the April 5th event. The committee will select the finalists by April 21st.
               
Projects must be completed by November 30th, this year......

All projects will have a 1-to-1 match and a minimum 25-percent match must be in-hand.

The projects must benefit the downtown area which is defined at Broadway to the Mississippi River and Wilson to Chestnut Streets.
