Buffalo County Court



Among the recent appearances in Buffalo County Circuit Court.....
    
27-year-old Kyle Smith of Durand, was sentenced to seven months in jail and three years of probation on felony charges of vehicle theft.  Several other charges were read into the court record at sentencing and dismissed as part of a plea agreement. Complaints said Smith stole a car in the town of Canton and swiped an ATV in Gilmanton. A laptop computer, phone, camera, clothing and money were among items stolen from a house in Canton.

 28-year-old Jonathan Loomis of Caledonia, was sentenced to three years in prison for burglary and theft. Loomis entered a plea agreement on charges from Buffalo and Trempealeau counties.                

Circuit Judge James Duvall ordered Loomis to serve three years of extended supervision after release from prison. Two other charges of burglary and theft were read into the court record and dismissed as part of the agreement.
