A driver's education instructor has been cited for drunken driving in Whitehall.
Authorities say the woman, identified as Deborah Larson of Independence, was driving the student car when she was spotted weaving and crossing the center line on a street in Whitehall Sunday about 8 a.m. A police report says Larson pulled into a Kwik Trip parking lot where she met four driving students.
An officer approached her and asked if she had been drinking. Larson told the officer she had taken medication that morning and that was the reason for her driving behavior. WKBT-TV says the officer performed a field sobriety test and arrested the Larson.
Her blood alcohol content at the time tested at .10.
