Winona State University's proposed $23,000,000 Education Village has the support of Governor Mark Dayton.
State Representative Gene Pelowski says the project is earmarked for full funding in the House bonding bill that was announced on Tuesday, and it would be signed by the Governor if the full funding is in a final bill.
Pelowski calls the Education Village concept a new way of preparing teachers for the 21st century and would totally revamp WSU's teacher education program.
But while the full funding is in the proposed House 975-million dollar bonding bill, and the Governor supports it, the Senate will also have to include the full funding in its bonding bill.
Pelowski says the House may take up its bonding bill as soon as Friday.....
