Minnesota Senator Al Franken says he is set to introduce legislation that would raise the federal minimum wage to $10.10-cents an hour over three years.
Franken told Winona Radio News the raise would keep many Minnesotans out of poverty.
Franken said the current federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour is much lower that the wage was in the 1960s when inflation is factored in. And he says he believes raising the wage would not affect small businesses.
Franken says the federal minimum wage has not gone up in almost five years.....
