Bridge Project-Condemnation Petitions

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has filed condemnation petitions against six properties in the right-of-way for the Highway 43 Winona bridge project slated to get underway in July.

The petitions were filed at the Winona County Recorder's Office Thursday and include two easements owned by Bluff City Properties.

The other four are against properties. All six are located along West Fourth street  between Winona and Huff streets.

Earlier MnDOT recorded the purchase of seven other properties in the right-of-way for a total of just over 1-million dollars.

Negotiations continue on remaining properties in the project right-of-way including properties that house Dahl Chevrolet, the AmericaInn, and Severson Sinclair.

The properties for which MnDOT is seeking through the condemnation proceedings are owned by: Charles Sanfillipo, Keven Brady, Damien Boyd, and Timothy and Nicole Bronk.
