Rushford-Peterson New School

All may not be lost in the Rushford-Peterson school district's request for state funding to help build a new pre-K through 12 school building.
While direct funding was left out of the Governor and the House's bonding proposals, Representative Greg Davids says a different funding mechanism is in the House bonding bill.

Rushford-Peterson and the Moose Lake school district's have jointly been
seeking 20-million dollars each for new buildings but have been unsuccessful in recent years.

Davids says he is not sure the funding mechanism will make it into the final bonding bill but he is pushing for that to happen.

If the funding is received, Rushford-Peterson voters would still have to approve a referendum for the remaining funds for the over 30-million project.
