State Trust Fund Loans

The Board of Commissioners of Public Lands (BCPL) has approved $4,500,000 in State Trust Fund Loans to support eight municipal projects in Wisconsin.

Loans approved include: just over $511,000 to the City of Onalaska to purchase capital equipment and vehicles and the Town of Pleasant Valley in Eau Claire County will get $2.500,000 to construct a town hall.

Also the Town of Sparta will get $33,700 for a finance comprehensive plan.

The BCPL provides all of the state's financial aid to public elementary, middle and high school libraries.

State Trust Fund Loan funding comes from the principal of the state's Common School Fund, which is enhanced by revenues generated by fees, fines, forfeitures, unclaimed property and timber sales.
