Republican State Representative Steve Drazkowski says he will not vote in favor of a minimum wage bill when it comes back to the House for a final vote. Drazkowski said he is opposed to raising the minimum wage to $9.50 an hour an hour by 2016 which was announced in an agreement Monday by House and Senate Democratic leaders. Drazkowski calls it a government imposed increase that will result in higher prices and layoffs. Drazkowski says he is also hopeful Republicans can gain back the House majority in next fall's elections so some of the DFL legislation can be stopped. The bill is expected to get final approval this week.
