The operators of Minnesota's health insurance exchange say enrollment has risen to about 181,000 people as they continue to process applications that were started before the March 31 deadline.
MNsure had already announced it beat its deadline last fall of 135,000 signups. They said then that enrollment would continue to tick upward.
Republicans have continued to attack the health overhaul. Wednesday's announcement came shortly before a meeting of the exchange's board of directors at which the GOP was expected to raise questions about a published report on problems in the months preceding the exchange launch.
