RSVP Program Move

After 40 years the Retired Senior Volunteer Program has moved out of Rushford and was relocated to Winona.

The RSVP program had been operated by SEMCAC in Rushford but began operations under Winona Catholic Charities, April 1st.

The Tri-County Record reports Catholic Charities was given a three-year grant from the Corporaration of National and County Services to operate the program under a new competitive bid process.

SEMCAC also submitted a bid.

All of the program's volunteers in Fillmore, Houston, Dodge, Mower, and Steele Counties are now under Catholic Charities.

Rushford also lost the director of the RSVP program for the past 14 years, Sharon Rustad, who has found a new job.
